1952 Sato, Chrysler (New Yorker) 2-door Convertible in Original Box

Spectacular tin litho, friction drive Chrysler 2-door convertible in unused mint condition complete with original box. High gloss jet black finish with plaid multicolored interior and uniformed, figural, tin litho metal driver.

Beautifully embossed and detailed most closely to the Chrysler New Yorker convertible. Features fully chromed metal accessories (steering wheel, steering column, divided windshield, hood divider, winged hood and trunk ornament, bumpers, grille, side trim, fender trim and wheel hubs). Includes lithoed tail and head lights, lithoed hub caps marked "GENERAL", solid plate chassis, and treaded rubber tires. Interior was detailed with full instrument panel, floorboard, bench seat, boot (storage section for the top). Full figural driver completely separate from the car. Legs, torso, head, and arms attached to steering wheel in driving position all added to the realism of this awesome toy.

Original box features full cover panel color illustration of the speeding Chrysler. Dad is shown driving with two children (one waving) in the back seat. The city looms off in the distance.

Although the box and toy are both marked Hadson this was not the manufacturer. Hadson was only the U.S. importer. They required that their name be used on all imported products including packaging. The toy was actually manufactured by Sato, Japan.
